Acquired my nose for news through a journalism master’s program in College Park, close enough to D.C. to acquire a healthy respect for the power – and perils – of strong words. Fourteen years promoting the wonders of science and medicine at Duke, followed by six years of agency and pharmaceutical PR. Struck out on my own to apply my gift for writing in a more meaningful way.

Inspired by my work at the Autism Society of North Carolina to communicate messages through compelling designs, not just words. Seven years in the biopharmaceutical industry breathing life into stainless steel drums and vats of plasma through lively images, lines and letters that target audiences could understand and embrace.
